Birth Doula Services:
We provide caring, unconditional support to laboring moms and their birth partner(s). Our goal is to support you in whatever way you desire to help ensure a satisfying, empowering experience.
Our services include a complimentary interview, two-three prenatal visits, continuous support during labor and birth and one visit postpartum. We offer our services on a sliding scale – please contact us for more information.
Prenatal Visits: At our prenatal visits, we get to know one another, go over pain-coping and relaxation techniques and comfort measures, and envision and prepare for your birth.
Labor and Birth: During your labor, we are with you from the time you feel you want our support to offer massage, suggest positions for laboring more comfortably, offer information, and provide emotional and relaxation support and perspective. We work as a team with your birth partner(s) and medical caregivers and do our best to ensure a satisfying, empowering birth experience.
Postpartum Visit: We will meet with you once postpartum to offer the opportunity to talk about and process more fully the birth experience as well as answer any questions you may have, offer tips on breastfeeding and newborn care and provide resources and referrals as necessary.

Postpartum Doula Services:
We offer postpartum doula support, providing emotional, physical, and informational support for your family after the birth of your baby. Services include help with new baby, lactation education/support within our scope, help with healing/discomforts, meal preparation, resources and referrals, help with older children, and light housekeeping.

Placenta Encapsulation and Tincture:
If you are interested in having Melissa prepare your placenta for in capsule or tincture form, or both, please contact Melissa
In your email, please indicate your Expected Due Date and where she can pick up your placenta. Please try to store your placenta in a glass container and keep it cold. She will make her best effort to pick it up as soon as possible.
If you would like a placenta print with your order, please indicate in your email.
Your placenta will be returned encapsulated within 72 hours and a tincture within a week.
Tincture is $125. Encapsulation is $200. Combo is $250.

Babysitting
Gwen has over 14 years of experience working with children of all ages in a variety of settings including as a tutor and elementary teaching assistant. She is CPR certified, gladly changes diapers and has a current driver’s license and clean driving record.
